Sevillana Dance Recital

We cut our vacation short, missing out on visiting Wroclaw, Poland and Berlin, Germany but I would not have changed a thing… especially after watching Morgan dance!

We had to meet up at 5pm to have Morgan get her hair done… and as I watched, I thought we were in BIG trouble.  The is NO way we were going to get a brush through her hair… ever!!

HAIR PICTURE!!

In Spain, nothing starts at a typical American hour.
Morgan’s dance recital began… yes BEGAN at 10pm.

Last minute touch ups.... meaning MORE hair spray...
her class sitting together waiting for the recital to start

Alvero and Vega
Other classes performances...

Mara's dance class...
FINALLY- her class took the stage sometime close to midnight
(Morgan is in the front right- back turned to us)
On the end( right)
Her second dance of the evening... Morgan is on the far left (front stage)

More dances from other classes...

Morgan should have been one of the first classes to preform tonight but one of the ladies who made the dresses did not return 3 of the dresses for the dance in time… making all the little ladies in her class wait until she arrived.  Of course, that was not until midnight… Morgan was tired, hungry and bored (I think part of it was the anticipation of going on stage).
Her class had two dances and she was fantastic in both!

As a mother, nothing is more enjoyable than watching your children succeed, progress, and excel in new things.  Morgan never ceases to amaze me.  She has the ability to learn quickly in anything she tries and Seviallana dance is one more to add to that growing list of hers.
She loves to be on stage… loves wearing feria dresses... and loves to have her hair done (of course she does… she is a girl after all).
We ended up leaving after intermission... around midnight to find out the whole thing ended at 1am.  I can't wait to see her and the other dancers perform again next year!!
