Drake's last few days

Tuesday-Thursday was not too eventful... for Heather and Taylor...
Tuesday we went to the mall and shopped a little and got churros after futbol.. once again.

Wednesday we went to Arcos... In the rain!!  We left Chipiona thinking it was going to be awful and when we got there... we felt relieved when the rain had suddenly stopped half way up the hill.

Walking up...

Let me in... let me in.... Heather reaching for the doorknob...

I will never get sick of this view!!

The enterence to one of the stores...

Buying cookies from the nuns...
You go in this little door into a little hallway (waiting area).  Ring the bell and a nun will come to greet you... through a window that is.  Once you tell her you want to buy cookies... she loads all of the cookies onto the window, flips it around and tells you how much you owe after you pick what you want.  Its awesome!!

Down a side street on our walk back down...
I love Arcos... which is probably a good thing considering everyone that comes wants to go!  We had a great time... even if we got a little wet.

We were all set to go to Morocco Thursday morning bright and early but unfortunately that didnt happen.  We got a phone call at about 9pm Wednesday night telling us that the ferrys crossing over from Spain into Africa were closed due to heavy winds.  Although we were completely bummed... I would not have made for a fun adventour buddy if I had been car or motion sick.  We will just have to go next time they come...
SO- instead, we hung aorund the house, went to base for a few things, and got them ready for their trip home tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Miss Morgan!

Today my baby girl turned 8. She is so beautiful, inside and out.  She is such a great helper around the house, is so smart, speaking more spanish than I will ever know, and is such a sweetheart.
What Morgan loves at 8 (some of her favorite things):
riding her bike
playing in the pool
music
dancing
horses
American dolls
Monster High
Science projects and kits
chicken nuggets
hot dogs
Sunny Delight
chocolate milk
ice cream

The night before prep:

Happy Birthday!!  Birthday breakfast.

Autine Heather, Uncle Mike and Taylor got her the Lego set she has been wanting... that was the first present she wanted to open.
She opened one more present before school... the rest had to wait until Steve got home from work.  She opened the one Aydin bought her with his own money... They do love each other... some times.

Heather, Taylor and I took the cupcakes up to her school today.  The class sand in Spanish first and then in English.  They loved the cupcakes!!

After school... Taylor and Aydin tried on their new wetsuits (bought after we took the cupcakes to the school) in the pool.  Although the wetsuits worked and were great... their hands and feet were freezing!!

One... two... three.... JUMP!!
Well... Taylor went first... although they were all supposed to go together.
Aydin helped Morgan go...
And then he finally went in...
They all went in together this time...
For dinner, Morgan wanted homemade pizzas.
Heather and Liam roll the dough...

Heather and Taylor decorated her cake... She wanted a tiger print...
I think it looked pretty good.

Opening her gifts...
She finally got the fan she has been waiting for~

Happy Birthday pretty lady!!  We love you...

Heather and Taylor's week (part one)

Saturday we decided to go into Cadiz- something Steve and I have not done yet.  I have to say- the city is absolutely beautiful!!  We walked all around soaking up the sun and sites.

On our walk into Cadiz

We then stopped for drinks (we wanted food but the service was not the best) before heading to get ice cream.  Who needs lunch when you can snack on pastries and ice cream??

While I was at church on Sunday- Steve, Heather and Taylor went into Chipiona and Rota to hang out and have something to eat.

Sunday night, we decorated cupcakes for Morgan's birthday...

She wanted rainbow frosting...

Decorating for her birthday... blowing up balloons... over 125 of them!!  THANK YOU THANK YOU Heather for taking my job this year... I HATE blowing up balloons...
