Amsterdam- part 2

Steve and I got up and headed straight for the farmers market in Amsterdam.  This happens every Saturday and we were told was a 'must see'.

Pictures from our morning walk- to the market:

The Farmers Market was amazing... I wish ours was like this one.
I wanted to take back so much food!!

Steve getting a wheat grass shot... GROSS!
As we were taking the turn in the market- to loop around... the restaurant on the corner caught my eye.
We were told by the lady that sat next to me on the plane that we have to eat apple pie from Winkle 43... it is the best in the whole country!  No way were were passing this opportunity up...
Steve went in to order (they do not serve tables on Saturday's- you have to order inside and hope to find a table)... and I was lucky enough to find a seat.

Apple pie for breakfast.... why not?  Dutch are known for their apple pie right?
... and back in the market:

We then started walking towards the museums:

Body Worlds: something everyone should see!!
No pictures were allowed in the museum so I do not have any to share...
this place was amazing and so interesting. It was a 6 story exhibit of the human body, the skeletal and nervous system (crazy to see how complex it it), organs, muscle system- in multiple exhibits, blood system, fetus's and so much more.

We then stopped at what we THOUGHT was the Van Gogh museum.  Once we got in, we quickly realized it was not where we wanted to be... and that we were only going to see replicas here but Steve had to pee so bad... he paid just to use the bathroom (note to anyone who travels to Amsterdam: bathrooms in this city are NOT easy to come by.  It was extremely difficult to find a place that would allow you to use one without buying something... hence why we actually paid to see pictures of the actual art piece).
The gallery that housed this replica museum was a stock market building.  I think the building was more interesting than the pictures of the art :).  This was the original coat rack from the stick market days:

After laughing about how lame we were for actually paying to walk through that place-
we began walking around.... again and sat outside to people watch.
