Happy Easter!

It is always fun to celebrate holidays when you have children... and Easter is no exception.  Today the kids woke up to baskets full of goodies and loved every minute of it!!

After baskets they were eager to find the golden egg... I wonder where it could be this year.

Euros for all!!!  Lucky kids...

Dressed and ready for church...

We went to church today where we would learn more about the greatness of God, His love and the Resurrection.
The primary kids:

After church, Hailey and Matt came over for Easter dinner and our own little egg hunt.  It was perfect!!

Semana Santa

One whole week of sleeping in.... is something I will never say.  I love when my kids are out of school and have been looking forward for a little break from it all but I forget... my kids do not know the meaning of sleeping in or not having anywhere to go in the morning!  One day I pray they will catch on :)

We did not do a whole lot this week.
This is how we started the week:

On Wednesday, we had our friends over: both American and Spanish to decorate eggs and make goodies.
We had:
The Nelsons: Heather, Ethan, Kailey and Cade
The Cachero Santos/  Cachero Garcias: Beatriz, Lucia, Keke and Liz
Mellado Ruanes: Maria, Alana and Emma

The ladies were first to dye eggs....

Lucia, Liz and Kailey
Alana
Emma and Morgan

and... the boys made goodies.  Shredded wheat nests

Ethan, Heather, Aydin and Cade
Liam and Beatriz

Heather and her boys...

Now the girls turn in the kitchen..
Beatriz and Keke

Thursday morning the Price kids came over and spent a few days with us.  The kids loved having them over and it was great!!  We spent our days outside in the yard playing in the pool, at the beach, and with one another.

Friday afternoon, we made Easter cookies...
boys first... Luke and Aydin

and then the ladies:
Morgan, Emry and Carley

They played so well together, there would be times I would have to check on them because they were so quite.  I am so grateful for friends like these.  They are amazing children and have amazing parents.

Saturday night, after Steve dropped the Price kids off at the Nelsons, he took Aydin to the drive in to watch the latest GIJoe.  Aydin loved having the one on one time... something we used to be better at and need to start back up again.
