Family Reunion

This summer was the first time in over 14 years that my whole family was together.  Ever since we all got married and began our own families, it has been extremely difficult to get together.  There has always been at least one person (sibling or spouse) missing.  So, from the week of July 6-13 we all filtered in and spent some time together.  For the kids and me, we were there from Friday to Monday, left to pick up Steve from the airport and then headed back up on Thursday for the whole day.  Thursday was the first day of all the Hansen's and their families were together!! What a great time we all had.  I am so grateful for the opportunity we had to spend the little time we had together and see my siblings, their spouses, nieces and nephews.  I am even more grateful that my kids had the chance to meet and play with the cousins (some of them they met for the first time).

Friday most of the family arrived.  Gary and Trina came in on Thursday (which was why we drove down from my parents a day early).  By Friday night, the only families missing we Mike and Missy and John and Lindsey (they all came in on Saturday) and of course Steve who flies home MONDAY!!!

Since it was my brother Mikes birthday on the 2nd, we had cake for him once we all arrived... and it was DELICIOUS!!
