3 Kings parade

This afternoon we made our way downtown to begin our celebration in preparation for the 3 Kings who will be visiting the house tonight.  Following with the tradition of last year, we went into town for churros and chocolate with Dave, Maria and their kiddos, but added one more family: the Dosiers...

Mike, Rokzanne, Makenzie and Madison.

After churros, we walked across the street and waited a few minutes for the floats, band, and crowd to come passing by...

David waiting in the middle of the road...

 And they are coming...

The mullet is still going strong out here...

After they all passed, we rushed through the side streets to hit up the parade at a location a little further down the road...

Steve tried to get Liam as close to the floats to get a ball... but didnt have very much luck:
We then made our way to another location on the walking street... and go right up to the front of the crowd.  Perfect spot to be!!

Once we made our way to the front of the crowd... we looked across the walking street and saw Carlos and his dad.  Aydin hung out with them while watching the floats and crowds of people pass by.
 FINALLY!!!
After multiple meltdowns and not understanding why he was not getting a ball...
he finally got handed one!!
And then we look over and see Rokzanne got one too...
I think she was happy too!!

 So many people....
He could not have been any close to the people on the float.  Everyone would touch his hair... hand him loads of candy... or give him high fives.  He had a great time!
Aydin, Juan Carlos, Carlos, and Steve
 Friends were everywhere!!
Esperanza and Morgan... with Aydin photo bombing
We saw this car getting towed... about 10 minutes before the parade came down this street.
Note to self: Never park on the same street as a parade!

After the parade... we decided to grab something to eat (ice cream, snacks, and drinks) at Maka's families heladeria.
They had more fun than their faces show...
The highlight of the night!!  He got this while hanging out in the heladeria (Maka's place).  It was fantastic!!
 Look at all that candy...

Now its time for bed... the three kings are coming!!
