Christmas vacation

We had a great time in Vermont this year for Christmas. We left Friday the 18th and headed straight for the worst snow storm to hit the east in 40 years. What should have been an 18 hour drive took 3 days and 30+ hours to get there. We were SO excited to finally get to moms house Sunday afternoon.

My FIRST time to DC- we passing through that is... and this is all we could see. We even drove down Pennsylvania Ave- and Saw nothing but WHITE.

I thought this was too cool... (doesn't take much to make me happy) but we went through an underwater tunnel in Baltimore.

While we were there, we had a blast!! The kids were looking forward to the snow- and snow is what they got!! We were able to do so many fun things while we were there. We went shopping, went to the movies, made ginger bread houses, picked out and decorated the Christmas tree, went rock climbing, went on a sleigh ride (in -15 degrees), went ice skating, had snowball fights, made snow angels, played games, ate a ton of GREAT food and best of all..... had a great time hanging out with the family.

Auntie Heather is so much fun... she made snow angels with Morgan- even though it was WAY too cold to be outside

After a short week and a half... it was time to come home. We left on the 30th and this time... drove straight through.

I have to say- I am so thankful I married Steve- or he married me. Not only is he the best husband ever, but his family is pretty amazing too!! I am so lucky to have in-laws that are so fun to be around.

I hope everyone had as much fun this Christmas as we did! Hope you have a great New Year!
