Happy Easter!!

I love Easter!!

Today was a great day!! We were able to sleep in- almost 7 am..... and to us thats is like 10 to most people. I even had to wake Morgan up!! They loved their baskets this year. I love that they loved their baskets this year.

We then went to church- even though I did not hear most of the meeting... I still enjoyed being in the building. I then had the opportunity to give the sharing time lesson to the Primary children- about the 'true' meaning of why we celebrate Easter.

After church we finally dyed our Easter eggs (I almost forgot... thank you Aydin for reminding me to buy eggs yesterday). The kids love doing this- as do I (How did I almost forget?!)!

We had a great Easter dinner tonight! Our great friends Brad and Monica came over for dinner- and Thanks to Steves mom... we ate HAM. When I say HAM- I mean a 13 pound ham. I think she thought we were inviting every one we knew :). Its a good thing I love ham... and that is one thing I WILL eat as a leftover.

I am so grateful for our Savior and for His sacrifice to die for me so that I too can live with Him again. May we all remember the 'true' meaning of Easter this year. I hope you all had as great of a day as we did.

Suns Game

Last night we went to a Suns game. They are the AA team for the Florida Marlines. We had so much fun. Even though they are NOT the best team... we went with two other families and enjoyed every minute. We will defiantly be going to another ball game this season!!

Disney on Ice

Yesterday we had tickets to go to Disney on Ice. It was supposed to be something that our family did together... however life is NEVER that simple. Since Steve just got home Tuesday- they had to turn over crews on the sub so he had to work late. I took his ticket and invited one of Morgans girl friends. On our way to pick her up- Aydin was whining that he really didnt want to go and be the only boy there- so we left him at his friends while we picked up his sister. It worked out perfectly. It wasnt until after I realized he probably wouldnt have been into it anyway.

Well- not only did we have an extra ticket from Aydin now- our friends (her husband is on the same crew as Steve) had an extra ticket as well- so we invited my neighbor girls to use the two extra tickets... We didnt think that one through too well. My friend Brooke and I with 6- yes SIX girls!!

It was great though. All of the little ladies did surprisingly well!! And we had a blast! All the ladies dressed up in princess dresses and set out for the Jacksonville arena.

Home again....

Steve came home yesterday morning... and this was the first time we did not make it the beach. For those of you who know me- know that I hate to wake up early!! Not only was the weather keeping us from going (It was 36 degrees and windy)- it was at 7:00 AM. No way was I getting up to freeze my tail off at 7 am.

I am SO glad he was not out for too long. They were gone all of a day and a half. What a waste if you ask me- but thats how the Navy would like to spend their money and time (they do all the time). I am just so glad he will be off Friday, Saturday and Sunday. What perfect timing... he will be home to celebrate Easter with us. Welcome Home Steve- again.

Camping

This week is Spring Break and since we are not going out of town... I have tried to find fun things for the kids to do. With Steve being gone again... not know when he is coming home we passed on the opportunity to go camping with some great friends. We did however go to the camp site for the day. We had a great time!! I am looking forward to the next time they go- so we can stay over night.

And then there were 3

Yep- you read correctly... We got a call from Steve at work yesterday. He called needing me to pack his sea bag- they were going back out! WHAT?! How could they do this... they are not on a fast attack. They were home. Home for all of 1 1/2 days.

Today we went BACK to the beach to see the sub leave us again for who knows how long. I just pray they come home SOON!!

He is HOME!!!

Yesterday was a great day in the Blonski household!! After being delayed a few days coming home... we were able to pick Steve up. Its always fun to go to the beach and see the submarine pulling in.

I do have to say I love the Navy for one reason... this is that I get many chances to get butterflies in my stomach. After 7+ years being with someone- the butterflies and nervousness being around that person you fall in love with tend to go away after time. Not in the Navy. I still get nervous every time I am on my way down to the waterfront to pick Steve up. I get SO excited to have him come home and love every minute of it.

I am so lucky to have Steve as my husband! Welcome Home!

Skeet shooting...

Today Monica and I had the opportunity to go skeet shooting with my neighbor Gene. We had such a great time! I think I may be addicted. Although it was a lot harder than it looks... I did manage to hit 5 skeet. I had a blast. I cant wait to go back!!
