Aydins day at the Circus!!

Yesterday we went on a field trip with Aydins school to the Circus. I have never gone to a circus before and it was a lot of fun. We got to our seats a little late due to buses being late so we missed the disappearing elephant but other than that- we saw everything. Aydins favorite part was the 'bad guy' getting turned into a tiger. I thought it was very interesting to see how they have trained the elephants to sit on stools and stand with all four legs and turn on the stool. I had a great time spending time with Aydin by ourselves. (I will be taking Morgan when they come back to Jacksonville in May).

Bowling Party-

So this is the 3rd year out of 6 we have done a bowling party for Aydin. You would think he would want something different- but of course he didnt. I promise...next year we are not going bowling! We had 13 kids and Aydin at the bowling alley and I would like to think everyone had a good time. I know my kids did! He got a ton of fun stuff for his birthday and is thankful for those of you who bought something for him. We are so grateful to have Aydin in our family- Happy Birthday Aydin. I hope you had a great day.

Happy Birthday Aydin

This morning we woke up to a excited boy (yes at the crack of 5:50AM). Aydin is now 6 years old! I cant believe how fast the time has gone. I am so sad that he is getting older and so big. He is NOT my little boy anymore. I am so grateful for Aydin and the boy he has become. He brings so much joy into our home. He is so compassionate and caring toward others. He always wants the other person in the room to be happy. Aydin has such a sweet spirit and I love watching him throughout the day. I am so excited to see him grow! Happy Birthday Aydin- we love you!

So those of you that have talked with Morgan know she is full of little 'sayings' that make you question where that came from.
The other day- Steve and I were playing Guitar Hero- to Sublime's Santeria song. Morgan then decided to inform Steve and I that she thinks the song should be called diarrea because Santeria and diarrea rhyme.
Then the next morning- I was getting her dressed and her toys together to bring to the gym... and her baby doll dropped her hat. When I told her to pick up her hat and put it back on- Morgan decides to tell me that her baby (even though it is in all pink) 'is a boy baby not a girl. ALL babies are boys. They later turn into girls when they grow long hair like hers. She then tells me that when she was a baby she was a boy until she started growing hair into a ponytail.' - I had to laugh for a little bit and then tell her that she has always been a girl... girls are born girls even without hair.
-good thing she is blonde because she is going to need the excuss when she is older. We love her and all the fun things she decides to say... she sure does know how to make us laugh.

Morgans hair-

Last night we went to a friends house for dinner. While I was getting ready- Morgan came in the bathroom and asked me what I was doing. When I told her I was straighting my hair- she said she wanted to do hers also.... so of course I did. More so to satisfy my curiosity than anything. She looked so much different with straight hair!

Happy New Year!!

Wow- I cant believe that it is already 2009. New Years Eve we had a few friends over to hang out and light off fireworks. It was a lot of fun- even though I felt like we were going to freeze waiting for the guys to be done lighting everything.
