Aquatic Center-

When we are not at the beach- we are swimming in a pool. About 20 minutes from our house there is a little water park for the kids to play at. We will spend a full day there hanging out in the water. Aydin loves that he is tall enough for the big water slide! He will go down the slide 15 times in a row before he wants to do something else. Morgan loves the lazy river- but what can I say- she is our 'lazy girl'. They both have fun in the pool- Aydin is now swimming in the deep end all by himself. He is a great little swimmer! Morgan has absolutely no fear when it comes to the pool- she will jump into anything (as long as she is wearing her floaties). She loves her floaties! She feels like she is on the top of the world when she is wearing them.

The kids and I went to visit our friends in Charleston. We always love going to spend time with them. Although the weather wasnt the best with afternoon showers everyday we were there... we had fun anyway. The kids had a blast with Kainoa and Kemele playing inside and outside, swimming in their pool, and of course going to the movies to see Wall'e.

It is so nice having friends like Amy and Kevin who always make us feel like family every time we see them!

The kids are already looking forward to seeing them again!

We love the Beach....

The kids love going to the beach. We are there at least 3 times a week. Aydin is actually getting pretty good at body boarding. He likes to call it 'surfing'! He gets on waves that I think are a little too big- but he always comes out of it without falling off. He cant wait to have Steve come home and watch him go!

Morgan loves to 'surf' when Aydin is pulling her. They have so much fun together!! She isnt as fearless when it comes to the ocean as Aydin is. She stays close to shore- swimming in the smaller waves.

I am so glad they love the beach as much as I do- it would be a pretty sad summer without it!

my first time....

This last weekend I had the opportunity to take a ride in a GYROCOPTER. For those of you who do not know what it is- it is a small helicopter without a motor. It was a blast!!! I have never been in anything like it. We flew all over the town- and of course over my house. Although Morgan would have loved to try it- she only got a picture in the seat- maybe next time.

picking blueberries....

The kids just love picking blueberries! We went to two different farms to pick blueberries with our friends. Last Thursday we went and the kids were all about seeing who would fill up their buckets more. Today we went again and this time.... half way into it- the kids were picking and eating their berries rather than putting them in their buckets. I dont think we will be going again considering we have over 2 pounds of berries and I dont even eat them. It was a blast though!!
