Learning to swim...

This is the summer for Liam to learn how to swim without floaties.  Although we didn't start teaching the way we would have wanted, we had no choice but to begin.  This afternoon, the kids were having Steve throw them in the pool- something they often do- when Liam went in with his hands straight up.  Next thing we see was his floaties pop up to the top of the water.... and Liam was not wearing them.  Steve's face was in full shock mode and he was getting ready to jump in when Liam popped up and swam his way to the stair.  That was all it took for Liam to have enough confidence to want more freedom in the pool... so Steve jumped right in and started helping him practice.
