Today is the day we are
leaving our vacation behind and going back to our lives in Spain. This is one
trip I hope the kids will never forget- I know I won't.
We covered 7 countries
in 10 days, drove a little more than 2,800 kilometers in 28 or so hours
On this trip, I
have:
seen some amazing cities
drove through the
Swiss, Italian, and Austrian Alps
fell in love with
cities
took a few good photos
walked through local
farmers markets
got a few
speeding tickets, YES a few... in Switzerland and Italy (those are the ones we
know of)
drove 180 kph on
the autobahn
admired
architecture
admired views
tried new foods
ate amazing food
ate too much
learned history
walked through
historical sites
hiked
biked
walked many miles
rode numerous
subways
took trains
took boat tours
saw the largest
waterfall in Europe
rode on one
of the largest rivers in Europe
visited castles
danced in the
rain
enjoyed festivals
shopped
bought souvenirs
laughed
enjoyed
family time
enjoyed time
with the Dosier's
felt blessed
every day
felt inspired
felt sorrow
was humbled
watched the World
Cup in 7 different countries
stayed in the perfect
vacation apartment
stayed in some of
the worst hotels ever
had a two hour traffic
stop on a freeway where we made friends with a trucker from Germany
visited 5 new
countries
made lasting
memories
and most
importantly:
spent time with my
family and friends I love so much.
I am so grateful for
the adventures we have been able to experience while living in Spain and know
that these trips are a once in a lifetime experience for us. This trip
was one we have planned for months (almost a year) and will be our last 'big'
trip before we move back to the United States. I wish we were able to
travel more... but am so GRATEFUL for what we have experienced, seen, visited,
and enjoyed so far.
