Baby Shower

I wish I could say it was last weekend... but nope- on May 15th my friends threw me a baby shower. I am just a slacker and have no other real excuse on why I havent posted yet. Even worse, Morgan has lost her two bottom teeth this month- and I cannot find the pictures to post those either. What am I going to do when baby number 3 comes along?! I hope I am not a hot mess!!

The great ladies who threw my shower- Jennifer and Karlie

Well- my shower was great. We had it at a restaurant called Brettes which is right on the water. I cant believe that I only have 3 more weeks to go before the nugget will be here (if he waits all three weeks).

My neighbor took this picture- sitting down... wish she was standing but oh well. Karlie, Jennifer, me, Suzanne and Linsey

Washington DC

Our trip to Washington DC was fabulous!!! I cant wait to go back. I cant believe I have lived on the East coast for over 6 years and made my first trip just last week. Steve has never wanted to go to DC so since he is not here and the kids had spring break, we drove up to see the city and spend time with our great friends Monica and her husband Brad.

WOW- I never thought we would be walking so much!! Thursday morning we got up early and headed into the city. We went to the Air and Space Museum first- the kids spent more than 2 hours there. It was awesome. I think we could have been there all day!!

From the Air and Space Museum, we walked to the Capitol Building. I would have loved to see some of my grandfathers statues that are inside the building- but there was a 2 hour wait to get in for a tour and the kids were not having it. So- next time!!

The Cherry Blossom trees were my favorite- The city was filled with these trees... and Morgan loved that they were pink :)

We then went to the American History Museum and then to the Natural History Museum. Both of these were very interesting. I wish we had weeks- thats how long it would take to see everything!!

Friday morning we got up and went to the Monument. The kids ate donuts in front and thought this was awesome.

We then walked to the Lincoln Memorial- very cool. The kids loved this.

From there- we went to the aquarium... not worth the time- I would have done something else had I known how small it was- but the kids loved it.

We then walked to the White House- took a few pictures and then left. Not much to see :).

From the White House- we got in the car and drove to the Washington DC LDS temple. It was beautiful. I had been wanting to see this for a while. It was also very cool to see because the statue on top- the Angel Moroni, was done by my grandfather.

DC was amazing!! I am so glad we took this trip and went to everything we wanted to. I hope you liked the pictures.

Easter

Well- this Easter we spent the day without Steve. It was hard for all of us- and he was missed!!! Saturday afternoon we were invited to our friends parents house for an Easter egg hunt, games and lunch. We had a great time.

Easter morning- the kids woke up to great baskets. They were so excited for what they got. After they took a look at everything they had, we loaded up our car and made our way to Virgina Beach to start our Spring Break.

Hope you had a great Easter

Ice Cream Sundaes

Thank you Grandma and Auntie Heather. They sent the kids and I a few boxes full of bowls and all of the yummy toppings for ice cream sundaes. The kids were so excited to see the stuff all over the counter when they got home from school on Friday.

We didnt get around to making them Friday night so Saturday after Aydins baseball game, we had YUMMY Sundaes for lunch. They thought it was great! We each made our own and enjoyed the best lunch a kid (me included) could ever imagine having.

Thanks Grandma and Auntie- Youre the BEST!

March

March has started off to be a pretty hectic month. Between Morgans birthday, her dance classes every week, Aydin's baseball 4 days/nights a week, doctors apts and Steve leaving... its been crazy.

For those who do not know- Steve and I are expecting baby number 3 this June. (Ultra sound pictures will be posted shortly). We found out last month that we are having a boy. I am so happy for this! I really wanted another boy... not that girls are not fun.. but we only have room for one princess in this house. We are slowly gathering what we need- which is EVERYTHING... I forgot how much crap/stuff comes with having a baby around :). Good thing we still have a few months.
Here are a few pics of this months events so far.... hope you enjoy!

Morgan's 5th Birthday party

Morgan's birthday is in one week and she will be 5 years. She is such a beautiful little girl inside and out. She is always so fun and happy, making a smile come to your face when you are around her. I am so blessed and so grateful that she is in our family.

Tonight we had Morgans Birthday party at a bounce house place called Fernandina Party and Play.

We went to this fun place where she had her friends come and play with her. It was a great time, she was SO happy the whole entire time! It was one of those nights, you knew she was truly happy, and her smile made you smile. I am so glad she had a great party. She deserves it.

This was a big slide... they all loved it!

Steve playing with all of the kids...

Happy Birthday Morgan!

(Now for my rant about this place...)
Although the kids had a blast- the owner of this place was not a very honest person when it came time to paying for the party. I will NOT be taking the kids back. He totally scammed his way into more money at the end of the party.... and there was not really anything I could have done to prove him wrong.

In the end... Morgan had a blast and I guess for tonight- that is all that matters!! I am only posting this rant because I am hoping locals will be reading this and will not EVER host a party there.

Orlando Trip

A week and a half we took the kids down to Orlando for Valentines Day. We had a blast going to IKEA (my favorite store), great restaurants, staying in a hotel over night and then to Sea World. We had a great time spending the weekend with each other and enjoyed our time together.

This ride took them up pretty high, then dropped them. Aydin loved it!!

Her first ride in almost 2 years.... she was so proud of herself!
