Toronto!

Friday morning we made our way to Erik's church for the rehearsal.  After we practiced walking (I thought I knew how to walk but apparently we needed to practice it again) everyone went their own way.  Amy and Erik spent time with their coaches, Julie and Terry went into Toronto and the rest of the party was from Hamiliton so they did whatever they normally do.
The view from the freeway:
Steve and I decided to take the kids into Toronto as well.  We started off at Distillery District specifically to buy chocolate from the best chocolate store in the whole area (according to Jess... and she was right!!).

CHOCOLATE!!!

It was amazing!!

We then walked back out to the car and found a parking ticket waiting for us.  Not sure what the police were thinking when they thought everyone understood what this sign meant- but we sure didn't have a clue!!

We then made our way into downtown Toronto:

First stop: the Toronto Aquarium...
We could not believe how long the line was to get in... but crazy as we are... we waited... finally entered... and enjoyed our time along with 3 million other people!

After the aquarium, we walked around the old train station and then to dinner.

By the time we got back to Erik's, no one was there expect Amy's mom and Dave with all the kids.  We missed Erik, Amy and the rest of their US guests/friends heading out to dinner by minutes... instead of meeting up with them, we stayed behind with the kiddos.
