Fathers Day

We did something a little different this year for Fathers Day. We normally make Steve breakfast in bed, hang around the house, figure out what Steve wants to do for the day- which is always the beach... and then have a nice dinner.

Not this year. Saturday night we got an invitation to go with our new friends from the UK to Cocoa Beach. Steve and I had never been before so he thought it would be a good time. Well- he was right... although it was a 2 1/2 hour drive to get there... it was worth it.

We got up, had breakfast- but not in bed and then followed our friend Ben down to the famous Ron Johns in Cocoa Beach. Oh- how I love that store... and could do some damage there.

We then went to a fun restaurant right on the beach called Coconuts. They had great food and drinks out of carved coconuts. Of course... we had to get the group all drinks out of coconuts- which the kids loved!!

At Coconuts.. they had their own table and loved it!

Right after lunch was beach time. We spent a little over 4 hours on the beach before Aydin came to us ready to eat dinner. It was then that we packed everything up.. stopped for our 'nice' Fathers Day dinner (Subway for us and McDonalds for Morgan) to eat on our drive home.

(Aydin was SO tired... he fell asleep while eating his sandwich)

Steve had a great time and was happy that we went- which then makes me happy that we went. I am so grateful to have a wonderful husband who is the best father to our children. He does so much for our family and we are so lucky to have him in our lives... Happy Fathers Day Steve. I am glad you enjoyed it!

Zoo day!

The first day off of school- I took the kids and their friends to the Zoo. We love the Zoo. They have a new exhibit of a komodo dragon... and it was too cool. The kids had a great time. This was our first of many trips to the zoo this summer.

Our Princess at her dance recital

Saturday was a great day for Morgan. For the past 4 months she has been working hard to learn her dance for the upcoming recital. Well- the practice paid off for her. She was the BEST one in her class. She got on that stage Saturday and was fantastic!! She was the only one in her class that danced the whole song... that knew every step... and that smiled the whole time. She was such a ham!! Loved every minute of the attention!!
When we went to get her after the dance... she said;
"Mom- I loved being up there... everyone was looking at me and I did good!"
I loved it!! She was too cute for words!!

Last babeball game

Last Thursday was Aydins last baseball game for the season. It is bitter sweet. We are all looking forward to the summer to play at the beach and pool- but we all really enjoyed baseball this year. We loved watching Aydin play, watching the team continue to get better with every game and hanging out with our friends. First up to bat

Ready to run home from third...

Another tooth gone...

Why do kids with missing teeth look so funny??

This morning was the morning for Aydin!! His tooth that has been loose for about a month has finally fallen out. All I can say it it is about time- although every time I look at him I have to laugh. I cant get over how funny he looks with a huge gap in his mouth.

Memorial Day

I have been bad at posting to the blog right when things happen for us... so I am a little behind. Well- a few days at least.

Happy Memorial Day! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends. I have never lived in an area where we have met so many couple friends... that both Steve and I get along with. Monday we were invited to one of these wonderful couples homes (Tex and Linsey) for a BBQ and pool party. We spent most of the day there.... and the kids spent the whole time in the pool. Between 5 couples... there were a total of 17 kids, It was great!!

Suzanne, Karlie and Summer

all the kids... well most of them

Steve and Jermey

Morgan had to have these on... she loved them!!

All the boys made Steve throw them in the pool over and over... his arm sure did get a work out!!

Another Suns Game...

Last Saturday night our wonderful friends called and invited us to the Suns baseball game. Karlie used to work for the team so she gets the hook up on tickets. Well- for the first time in 5 years.. they gave her a box to hang out in.

We first started off right on the first base line to try to catch fly balls- where we stayed until it started raining.

We then moved to covered seats right behind home plate. I thought those were great seats and was perfectly content with where we were sitting.

About 5 minutes later we were moving up to a box....
So for more than half the game we sat in a box watching the game. It was so much fun!! Thanks Evatts for inviting us to go with you!!
