Carnaval with the kids

It is that time of the year I love at school... a time to dress up and walk the streets of Chipiona!
Although I am not a fan of having to figure out what the kids costumes are through translating a language I wish I was better at...
and
how to make them...
when the kids look this cute... I do not care!!

This year the school's theme was based around books the kids were reading in their class
(or movie's- like in Liams class)
Aydins class: Alice in Wonderland
Morgans class: Charlie Chaplin
Liams class: Smurfs
Liam LOVED his butt pom pom!!
Liam, Helena, and Mara
Liam and Ashleigh
(Liam loved showing off his butt)

Morgan waiting to start:

Aydin with his friends:

Most of his class:

All ready to go:
Liam's class of Smurfs:
Morgan and Puala
Aydin with his teacher:
Me, Virginia and Susanna
Morgan's class on the stage:
Can you find her??
How about now??

Luisa and Pablo
Maria and me

Aydins class on stage:

This whole caterpillar was made out of paper... LOVE it!!

And so the parade begins.....

I think I love their butts more than Liam!!

Liam and Paco walked together the whole way...
Until Morgan met up with him...

Doesn't even look like her!!

After making our way to the center of town... we ran into these clowns!!
Cutest clowns ever!!

Maddi, Rokzanne and Makenzie

Miss Morgan is 9!!

9 whole years have come and gone...

I cannot believe our baby girl is 9 years already.  Morgan is one special lady who blesses our family in so many ways.  She is so fun to be around, sweet, caring, helpful and intelligent.  Morgan has blown me away by her ability to adapt to life abroad, speak a second language, make friends, and learn new talents.
This morning Morgan woke up to a very One Direction themed birthday.   We decorated the house in red and white and surprised her with... scroll down to find out.

As you can see it is still very dark outside.  That is because Morgan insisted on waking up to open a few presents before Steve left for work...
The first present she reached for was the surprise she was not expecting...
nor did she even realize what it was...

One Direction concert tickets in Madrid!!
When Morgan opened her tickets, she thought it was just a One Direction picture framed for her room.  It wasn't until I told her she needed to read what was in it before she began to understand what it was and even more explaining before she fully understood what a concert was.
Once she figured out that it was One Direction playing all of her favorite songs on stage like in their movie... she started jumping up and down with excitement.  I cannot wait to take her this July!
Miss Morgan is so lucky to have a great friend with a mom who also loves One Direction as much as she does (they may even like them more).  Maria made Morgan cupcakes to take to her class:

After a full day of waiting for Steve to come home from work, Morgan finally opened the rest of her gifts.  And was so happy!!

And then had double chocolate cake:
