Spring break in Alabama

Although we have lived in Florida for 4 years now... we finally went to visit my friend Ashley from High School who lives SIX hours away!  Why has it taken us so long to see one another?!  Now that we are moving this summer- we finally got motivated to visit and had a blast.  I regret not doing this sooner.   She has a wonderful family- Chris, her husband was so nice, welcoming and patient with having three extra kids running around their house.  Hayden, their 5 year old was so cute!!  He played so well with Aydin and Morgan that they didnt want to leave.  The twins: Audrey and Grayson are just adorable!!  If we were not done having kids... I would want twins!!  Although Liam was either very sweet to them or pinching them, he loved playing with them.

We left Tuesday and arrived just before dinner.  We hung around while the kids played and ran crazy around their house.
Wednesday was raining so we decided to go to lunch at this wings place and go to see the Lorax- FINALLY.  I have been trying to make it to that movie since it came out and am so happy we went.  It was a cute movie and Liam et me sit through all of it- it could have something to do with the fact that he fell asleep for the last 30 min.

After the movie was over the rained stopped so we went to the sprinkler park which was not running so we went to the park instead.  Luckily the kids had their swimsuits on because the whole thing was wet and they loved it!

Morgan surfing...

 and swinging...

Thursday we headed down by the coast and had a fabulous lunch at Lulu's.  What a fun place to eat!!  They had such a long wait but the kids did not care; they had sand, toys, the water, and a huge climbing gym that the kids were able to walk around!!

Yes- That is MORGAN!!

 Ashley and Liam
 Buddies!

After lunch- we went across the street to the go-cart track, bumper boats and rides.  The kids had a blast and it was worth every penny.

Friday we woke up and headed to the Gulf Shores beach!!  I LOVE the GULF beaches.... but then again what is not to love about white powered sand and crystal clear water?!  We could have stayed all day if Ashley wasn't so white :)...  no, we had to get home to grab the twins so Chris could get stuff done.

Before dinner- we decorated eggs...

We had planned on leaving Friday night... but that didnt happen.  Saturday morning we woke up and had an Easter egg hunt before we left... and had a great time.

Of course all the babies are not looking... but all 6 kids!!
 What a cutie!
Morgan LOVED holding Audrey.  SHe said if we could have a baby sister for her, she would love it because boys are annoying.  That's my girl!

It was a great week- it is nice to know that even though we have not seen one another for 6 years, it felt like we had seen each other yesterday.  Ashley and Chris- thanks for a great week!! Next time... you need to visit us- IN SPAIN :)

LeGoLaNd FlOrIdA

What?!  A class field trip to LEGOLAND?!  Who has the coolest teacher ever??  Aydin!!

Today we got up dark and early... the kids had to be on the bus at 6:30 to leave by 6:45 and start the long 3 and a half hour drive to Winter Park, FL.  After I dropped Aydin and Jimmie Frank off to the buses, I headed to Jim and Jennifer's to pick up Jim and Julianne and start driving.  We arrived at Legoland around 10am and had the rest of the day to do whatever we wanted.

Mason, Ty, Aydin, Jimmie Frank, and Julianne

The boys, Joy and Julianne went straight to a roller coaster while I took Morgan and Liam to an play place.  Morgan is not the biggest fan of rides (you will see her face later in the post).

He loved that they were his size...

We then ate some lunch and headed to the Lego City part of the park.

Liam and Morgan.... Liam LOVED that drink.
Aydin and Mason
Jimmie, Ty and Julianne

Before the ride...

 The boys... headed out...
 The boys after their ride...

I made Morgan go on a ride... and she was not happy!!

To make up for making her ride that last ride, everyone waited in the line to ride these boat things that spray everyone with water.  They loved it!!
While the kids were all in line and riding, Liam was playing in the tree

We then spilt again... Jim and Joy took Aydin, Mason and Julianne to the roller coaster where your feet dangle while I once again stayed behind to let Jimmie Frank, Morgan and Ty go to driving school.

We meet up once again and headed to the final roller coaster of the day and then to see all the cities that were on display.  I let Aydin take these next set of pictures:

Aydin loved the boats, they actually were moving...

Daytona

Liam passed out after a long day of heat and running around...

Leaving the park... they got a few more pictures...

Happy St. Patty's Day and game 2 for Morgan...

HaPpY St. PaTrIcK's DaY!!
This morning was a crazy one.... I had to get up and get the kids some kind of fabulous green breakfast.... but did not plan nor did have time.... so they had to settle for green eggs, green muffins, and green fruit.

We had Trey and Trinity over for the night and had to be out of the house by 7:55 to head to Morgans game... She played so well and I was so proud of her!  They even won the game.

Morgan is in white... number 3

Right after the game, we rushed home and I headed to the airport to meet up with STEVE!!  Yep- he is back in DC for a week and a half so Susan (Steve's mom) was amazing enough to come down for a few days and watch the kids.  I will forever be grateful for her doing this for us!  It was a much needed break from everyday life...
