Happy Birthday to ME!

Every year I always wake up to a wonderful breakfast Steve has made for me for my birthday.  This year, Steve made something fantastic!!  Stuffed French toast.

This weekend we had extra kids- Erik and Heather Nelson finally went on their vacation and left their kids to Millie and I to make up for all the times they watched our kids.  Millie had the kids all week because their kids all go to the same school, so we had them for the weekend.  The kids were so good all weekend!

Steve prepping all the plates:

After breakfast- all I wanted to do is spend the day at the beach... and so we did!
The kids love looking for sea life in the corales:

Aydin, Kaylie, Morgan and Ethan
  Aydin and Ethan
  Liam and Cade

  I even caught a fish:

 Mackenzie

Madyson, Rokzanne and Steve

After the beach, the kids jumped in the pool to 'wash' the sand off and wait until dinner.

For dinner, we grilled and Steve surprised me with an assortment of desserts he ordered from a bakery in Rota.  Rokzanne and the girls came over for dinner and dessert.

It was a perfect way to celebrate my birthday.  Next weekend, Steve and I will celebrate my birthday in Amsterdam while the kids stay with Rokzanne and Mike.  I can't wait!

BBQ at Beach's

This afternoon we went to Jeremy's house for a BBQ with some of the guys Steve works with.  It was a great time!!

Jeremy showing the kids his skills on jumping into the pool...
OFF the roof....

Sanchez... really??? The grill was nothing to compete with...
Needless to say... standing too close to the flame will burn your hair!
Oh ya... and check tanning is something that happened also...

Trampoline Fun

We got a small trampoline a while back for the kids- they have been asking for one since we moved here but our yard is too small for a normal size trampoline so when we saw this little guy available... we were so excited!
The kids have been out on the trampoline daily since we've had it... and it shows.  Liam is almost making full flips on that thing... he has been practicing after school every day and continues to get closer to completing it.  Today I caught a few attempts with my camera.

Baelo Claudia: The Roman Ruins

Now that we know we only have about 9 months left in this beautiful country- we are trying to make the most of our time left.  We have way too many places we want to visit and not enough time to do it all!!  Today we decided to drive about an hour and 15 minutes south to visit ancient Roman ruins in the little beach side town of Baelo Claudia.

Rokzanne and her ladies met us there and together we took a walk around the ruins.
It was a beautiful day and well worth the trip!!
