La Rambla and Cordoba

Instead of going to the fantastic black Friday shopping that I normally would have done today, I took a road trip to La Rambla and Cordoba with Heather....
We got up early and took the 2 hour drive to go pottery shopping and then headed over to the beautiful (and possibly new favorite city in Spain) city of Cordoba.  The weather could not have been better, the town was clean, sights were amazing and the company was the best.  Heather and I had a great time and we cannot wait to go back with the family and go into the gardens, Cathedral, and tour the town a bit more.

Cordoba

The gardens... we did not go in but outside looked amazing.

A bridge over the river

Heather and a local jeweler.  He makes jewelry out of recycled metals and glass.
It was very cool.

Doors all around the Cathedral

Happy Thanksgiving

We always have so much to be thankful for and this year even more.  Unlike last year, Steve is home and we are able to spend the holiday together!  Nothing gets better... (although it was very difficult not having Mom Blonski here... the first time in 7 years she was not here for Thanksgiving and she was missed by all!!).
Today we were able to spend the day with new friends that are absolutely fantastic- Erik and Heather and their cutie kids!  Heather was kind enough to make the turkey this year (and will be stuck doing every other year too since my oven is European and will not fit a turkey) which was better than any turkey I could have made anyway...
It was a great day.

Liam and Cade.... best buddies....

Game time...

Today was Aydins first soccer game.... well other than the gamboree they had a few weeks ago.  Luckily not everyone on the team showed up to play so Aydin got more time to play.  He did pretty well... and looks better every day.
I have to say- I am struggling with finding my voice with yelling at him to do something in fear.. or more out of embarrassment of not knowing what to say in Spanish so Aydin does not get the typical yelling mom he has normally had in the past years of sporting events.  I am not sure if he loved it or even noticed.

Arcos de la Frontera

Today I went on a girl trip to Arcos- another fantastic city on a hill.  It was yet another wonderful experience... one I would love to visit again.

Vejer de la Frontera

Today the kids did not have school, Steve was gone in Greece, Morgan slept at a friends house and Aydin's friend slept over here.  We decided to drive an hour south to a wonderful (and one of my favorites so far) little town on a hill called Vejer.  It is a blanco pueblo (white city) that is beautiful!!

We walked around the city and church and then went to eat at a Moroccan restaurant that was fabulous!!

Horse lessons

Today we had another lesson for Morgan... She is loving every minute of her time riding and it paid off today.  Today she was able to make Torreo trot all by herself... the best part was you could hear her laughing every time the horse went faster from across the lot.
 I love this little lady...

And while I was waiting in the car.... I took pictures of the windmills because I love them!
