Awards assembly

I have to post about my fantastic children today.  I am one happy momma to say the least.  Both kids did amazing in school all year long.  Today was Aydins awards assembly- he the only citizenship awards in his class and made A's and B's all year.

Morgan's school did not have an assembly but if they did, she would have walked across the stage for STRAIGHT A's ALL year long.  She did not have anything lower than a 96% in anything for the whole year.

Moving day.

Today the packers are finishing the moving process.  Monday morning they came and packed up the house and garage.  The kids were so excited to have an empty house and closets to play hid and go seek in and run around like the crazy kids they are.

(Pictures are coming...)

Wednesday, the moving truck came back with 6 wooden crates to load our stuff into.  They were able to finish getting the job done by mid-afternoon and still leave our house with my bed, a couch and the tv (along with most of the garage stuff).

Thursday was the last day we spent in the house.  They brought back a few more pods and loaded the last of our stuff (WOW- we do have a lot of stuff).  I was amazed at the amount of stuff we have accumulated over the years.

Liam had a great time getting in the way of the fantastic movers and they even humored him a bit...

End of Soccer!

Soccer has ended as of this morning and it is bitter sweet.  I had such a great time watching the kids play this season and watching them progress over the season BUT I am ready to have the nights to hanging out with the family, having family dinners before 7pm, and get ready to pack up the house.

Last night was Morgans last game.  She did so well and had a great time playing.  I am so annoyed with myself for not taking any pictures of her game but I do have a few of the trophies.

Aydins last game was this morning.  He too had a great time playing.  At the beginning of the season, he played almost the whole game at forward with only a few minutes of breaks each game.  Towards the end of the season, he was playing goalie and actually liked it.

Coach Monica and Aydin

Giving Monica her photo album of the season... She was an amazing coach!!

I am so proud of both of them for playing a great season, showing respect for their coaches, being good sports, and having fun!

DAY 300

300 days already have come and gone!!
I cannot believe that we are almost done.  Auntie Heather, Uncle Mike and Taylor- we have LOVED every minute of these boxes and are so grateful for all you do to make this deployment fun for us.  We look forward to each box and talk about it for days.

This box was a HUGE cupcake!!  The kids were once again so excited to look what was in the box they could hardly wait for me to get the camera ready...
After seeing this... wouldn't you be excited too??

After we took the cupcake out to thaw... I put some of the dry ice in a bowl to show the kids.... they loved this as much as the cupcake I think!!

Morgan's friend Brynnlee was over after school and enjoyed the 300 day box with us...

2nd PLACE

We could not be more proud of Aydin and his accomplishments.  This being his first year doing science projects (mine too), I did not expect him to even make it into the science fair.  Every 3rd grader submitted a project to their class and the teacher picks the top 2 to enter the science fair.
Aydin's project was entered into the fair for his class and the 4th and 5th grade teachers judge their experiments.  Luckily we have great friends who called to tell us we had to go check out the fair.  When we showed up, we saw Aydin's 'Rusty Screws' project came in 2nd place in the 3rd grade.  Thanks Evatt's for making us come down.  I would have been disappointed if I missed it.
Congrats to his best bud Ty for placing 1st!

Aydin and his ribbon.

 Proud of their brother...
