Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving! We are so lucky to have amazing friends we can call family. We were invited to our friends Gary and Jayme for their Thanksgiving dinner. Both Steve and I agreed that this was by far one of the best Thanksgiving dinners yet. Gary is an amazing cook and Jayme even impressed us with her homemade mac and cheese and squash casseroles. We hope that next year we will be lucky enough to go back!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have so much to be thankful for in my life. As Thanksgiving is a time of the year to think more about the things we are grateful for.... I have put a list of a few things of what I am most thankful for.

We have great health, great parents and siblings, a nice home, Steve is NO LONGER attached to the submarine (he will never be deployed on a sub again), amazing friends (that we sometimes call family), Steves job security, and most importantly- My family.

I am so grateful for Steve and for who he is. He is such an amazing father to the kids, a hard worker, husband, and friend.

Aydin for being the best big brother to both Morgan and Liam. He is so sweet, always wants to make you happy, and he is the best person to cuddle.

Morgan for her sweet personality, her loving kindness, and her attitude- most of the time. She always tries to make you smile or in a better mood.

And of course for the biggest blessing of the year so far- Liam! He has brought so much happiness, love, and joy in our home. Liam is the best baby!! He is always so happy, smiley, and laughing. We are so grateful that he is such a good baby and in our family.

Christmas tree lighting.

Every year the Ritz Carlton on Amellia Island puts on their Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. This year Aydin has been in the school choir and his school is the preforming singers for the evening. They get all dressed up, stand in front of about 600 people, and sing their Christmas songs for everyone. He did so good and looked so handsome.

Jacksonville Jaguars Game

Today- Steve took Aydin to the much anticipated game. Aydin has been dying to go to a game since we have moved here and he started playing football. Today was his lucky day!! They got there a little early so they walked around checking everything out.
Much to their surprise... a cheerleader spotted Aydin and ran over to him... wanting to take a picture with him. As much as he pretended to be embarrassed, I know he loved it!! They then walked up to the field to watch both teams practice before the game started and took more pictures. Also during the warm-up, the Jaguars tight end came and gave Aydin a HIGH 5!!
Once the game started... they took their seats (which were only 5 rows from the field...) and enjoyed the game. As much as the Jaguars played a crappy game with 7 turnovers... they still pulled it together by the end with a win 24-20. Aydin had a great time spending the day with his dad.... and of course it didnt hurt that they spent time watching football!! Just getting to the field...

Veterans Day

Not only did the kids not have school for Veterans Day but Steve was off as well. Since it was on a Thursday this year- we stayed around and of course... went to the beach. It was a beautiful day at the beach for the middle of November- 70 degrees and windy. The kids had fun playing in the sand... Liam included.

Liam was so happy to be outside...

Halloween

Yes- Its almost Thanksgiving and I am now just getting to our Halloween pictures. We had a great time. We went to our friends for trick or treating again this year to continue with our tradition. The girls didnt make it as long as the boys- but that is not a huge surprise. Liam and his little friend Tinsley are 3 weeks apart and both were the same.... and so stinkin cute!!!

Pumpkins!!!

It is safe to say- I like carving pumpkins and doing the holiday 'traditions' more than the rest of my family. This year the kids were counting down the days until they could carve their pumpkins.... and yet- 10 minutes into carving they were done. They picked out what they wanted their pumpkins to look like and then both kids left Steve and I carving alone at the table. Every once in a while they would come check on our progress and tell us we were doing a 'great job' and then go back to playing. Even though it was supposed to be a family thing- Steve and I had a great time.

They enjoyed cleaning the pumpkin (at least Aydin did...)

She finally got her hand in one...

Aydin picked the hardest one for Steve to carve.
