What is that noise?

In the middle of the night, we heard something outside our bedroom door.  Steve got up and told me I had to come see... this is what we found... 

Another day at the beach...

Today we spent our morning/afternoon at the beach with Ester and her ladies.  

Aydin lucked out... his friends were there so he played with them while the Morgan and Liam played with the ladies.

The kids had a great time playing with friends, making sand art, and climbing the rocks.  We wouldn't want to spend our summer days any way else...

Fun with Science

Today Morgan and Steve put together her science kit finally.  While in the states, Morgan and Aydin each got kits but they have not been motivated to put them together... until today.  Steve and Morgan worked on this can car thing... and had a great time doing it!!  

Church activity at Costa Ballena

This afternoon the kids from our church got together at Costa Ballena to clean up trash and play.  

We started the day playing, making castles, eating and then finally broke off into teams to clean.  

The kids had a great time and it was fun being together for a few hours.

When picking up trash, we broke the kids up into groups and had them compete to see who would collect the most trash. Here are the group pictures:

 Trash pick up complete. I was amazed at how much they were able to get... the beaches here are typically really clean. They were smart and went to families to get their trash so they didn't have to take it to the trash... smart kids!!
